报告人简介：Man Ho Allen Au received the bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the Department of Information Engineering, Chinese University of Hong Kong, in 2003 and 2005 respectively, and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Wollongong, Australia, in 2009. Currently, he is an assistant professor at Dept. of Computing, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Before moving to Hong Kong in July 2014, he has been a lecturer at the School of Computer Science and Software Engineering, University of Wollongong, Australia.

报告内容：Research in electronic cash dated back to the early 80s. Recently, it appears to become an active research area again, thanks to the growing popularity of bitcoin, one of the few crypto-currencies that is being used in practice.This talk survey existing research results from electronic cash, with a focus on the array of properties offered by different proposals. We briefly go through the high-level constructions of some of the seminal works and discuss some of the cryptographic techniques employed. We will also give some comparison with bitcoin.
